I was born in Chicago, Illinois, and appreciate my Latino American heritage. It has influenced my musical expression. My great grandfather "LLalo" was a fine Cuatro" player and musician. The Cuatro is an Iconic instrument the Heart and Soul of the Puerto Rican people.

I inherited the love for guitar playing from my father Isabelo Feliciano, a great friend, dad and husband. My family has a great musical tradition and talent. My brother Otilio is a tremendous Bass Guitarist (A.K.A. Leo named after my grandfather), Jose (named after the Great guitarist and singer Jose Feliciano-not related)is a fantastic drummer and percussionist, Danny is one of the greatest drummers I've known, and my sister Noelia is a guitarist also. The others two siblings Daisy (A Cancer survivor) and Isaac who does sound engineering, also are extremely fond of music. Together with our mother Cecilia Feliciano they have put up with "Beautiful Noise" as I call it, since we were all children.

As a result of my father's love for the guitar and music, the Feliciano musical legacy continues onto the next generation as many of the grandchildren also enjoy the musical arts. My nephew Danny Cruz is an eclectic guitarist with his very unique style and expression. Noel Cruz Jr. loves music of many genres and has commanding vocal skills to sing and interpret songs. Another nephew Anthony is an up and coming young percussionist.

I grew up hearing my dad play the guitar and fell in love with it at a tender age. I got my very first guitar from my dad at age seven. The guitar has always captured my imagination. I have been playing guitar for over 40 years. I teach guitar lessons out of Songbird Studio owned by my good friend Becky Cappelli located on 564 Barron Boulevard Suite-A Route 83) in Grayslake, IL. (refer to link on my page). Our best times are the Holidays, family get together, breaking bread together and sharing an embraced with our many friends.

Famous Quotes:

" Lean yourself forward to support the guitar against your chest, for the poetry of the music should resound in your heart"

- Andres Segovia

“It was my 16th birthday – my mom and dad gave me my Goya classical guitar that day. I sat down, wrote this song, and I just knew that that was the only thing I could ever really do – write songs and sing them to people.”

- Stevie Nicks
